Hi I'm Charlie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm originally from Southern California. I moved to Georgia after graduating from high school. I served a mission in Santiago, Chile from 2004 to 2006. I met my wife in Southern California as I was working there between college semesters. I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English. We have one son.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Mormon church when I was a young boy. They learned that Jesus Christ's church has been restored and they decided to be baptized. At the age of eight, I decided to be baptized. I'm a Mormon because I believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he translated The Book of Mormon by the power of God. The teachings of the Mormon church have made me a better person and I'm so grateful that my son will grow up knowing that God and Jesus Christ know and love him.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith one day at a time. Living the teachings of Jesus Christ isn't always easy. There are so many distractions and temptations that cause me to sometimes lose focus. However, I know that reading the scriptures and praying can keep me on the right track. I also try to live my faith by sharing my beliefs with others. There are still many people who don't know who Mormons are or what they believe. I've learned that the best way to share the gospel is to live it; and, I try to do that every day.
