Hi I'm Emily

I am studying Sociology at Brigham Young University. I have been called to serve in the Mexico Chihuahua Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and I love everything that has to do with The Ohio State University (especially that football team). I am currently a student at Brigham Young University studying Sociology. I love all sports and try to play them as much as I can. I love to read. I have received my mission call to the Mexico Chihuahua mission reporting in November.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family, so that was helpful in increasing my exposure to the LDS faith, but I am Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I know it is true. I have made an active decision to be Mormon and I have never once second-guessed that choice. I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this church is true. I know it because I have asked to know through prayer.

How I live my faith

I am a firm believer in letting my actions speak for me. I strive to live my life in such a way that it is clear to those around me and to myself that I am a disciple of Christ. I am very involved in my local ward and attend all my weekly meetings. Currently I am serving as a Ward Missionary which means I spend a lot of my time reaching out to members in our ward who feel excluded and just letting them know that someone notices them and cares for them. It's a habit I would like to make permanent.
