Hi I'm Anne

I live in Wales with my 4 beautiful children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to 4 lovely children 1 boy and 3 girls, who are all active in the church, My hobbies are Family History, Cardmaking and Scrapbooking, and making jewellery. Family History is so important to me the love of this hobby was passed down by my parents, when from the age of 5yrs they showed me how to collect names from gravestones in our local cemeteries, and I would watch as my mother typed up each record to send to Salt Lake as part of the extraction program in the 1960's. One of my greatest dreams was to become a teacher, and at the ripe age of 53, I went back to college and studied for a degree to teach, when I graduated I took a job teaching family history for the local government, and taught for 3 years. I have recently become widowed, and now face new challenges as I bring up my children. My husband and I were late starters in the marriage game, I was 39 and he was 45, we didn't expect to be able to have children, so you can imagine how blessed we feel and how surprised we were when 4 beautiful spirits came our way.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents started going to church when I was 3 months old, so you could say I have been a member all my life. But I am not a member because of my parents, I have a choice in this too, I am a member because of my testimony, and my belief in the doctrines and principals of the gospel. i have read and studied them out for myself. I truly believe that Joseph Smith both saw and spoke to my Heavenly Father and my Saviour Jesus Christ. I know without a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it and put Moroni's challenge to the test, and received a witness to its truthfulness. I have had many callings throughout my church life, and each one has brought new challenges and blessings, i have grown from each one. My current callings are Family History consultant and Adult Sunday School Teacher.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly every Sunday with my children, and teach in adult Sunday school. This is a fairly new calling, and it brings challenges and great blessings as I study and prepare each lesson. I am also the Family History Consultant for my Ward, and help others with their research and give help and advice when needed. I also live my faith by helping my children to attend all the meetings and activities that are available for them. I drive them to youth and primary activities, and while waiting will often sit and complete a few projects that I have on the go with my hobbies. It also gives me a chance to chat and meet with other parents while waiting. the gospel is my life, I would be lost without it, it brings me so much fulfilment and joy.
