Hi I'm Janie

I grew up in Idaho & decided to stay with a good thing--so I'm still here. Life revolves around my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love being a grandmother although I don't feel old. In fact I still feel as though there is still so much to do and learn. I love the outdoors, which includes 4-wheeling, fishing and marveling at the beauties of nature. I also like to read and travel & hang out with my husband & family. My career involves computers and networking so I like "geeky" gadgets such as ipads, iphones, kindles, etc. I especially love to eat chocolate while playing with my "geeky" gadgets!

Why I am a Mormon

I became active in the church at age 13. By age 14 I needed to know without a doubt that this was the true religion. I fervently read the Book of Mormon and prayed for that answer. The Lord gave me that answer with such a strong feeling in my soul that to this day I do not doubt it. I feel blessed to be a member of this church, to have temples to be sealed for eternity with my family, and I love the principles the gospel teaches. The teachings help me love my Savior Jesus Christ with all my heart and also gives me a desire to follow His example.

How I live my faith

I think service is the key to living our religion. I just recently served the sisters in our ward and organized activities to enrich their lives. Much of this revolved around service to members and non-members alike. Now I wear a different "hat". My husband and I help the single adults try to find their way and try to help them fit in in either the singles ward or a family ward.
