Hi I'm Beverly

I am a wife, mother, business owner and avid reader. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho, but I have lived in California for nearly three decades. I am married and have two wonderful children. Both of my children have graduated from college. My son is currently in dental school. He is married to a beautiful wife and they have an adorable little girl! My daughter graduated with a degree in Architecture. She lives in Los Angeles and has her dream job working for a small interior design firm. My husband is a dentist who is widely known and respected in his field. For over 20 years I owned an international management training and HR consulting firm. I was privileged to work all over the United States and in many parts of the world. My husband was my biggest supporter. Together we worked very hard raising our children while still working to excel in our respective careers. We have always had a great partnership because we believed in each other. The primary reason for our ability to work together has always been our focus on Jesus Christ. Our goals, values and priorities always put Him at the top. This helped us provide a stable, strong and value-oriented home in which to raise our children. My witness to all is that Jesus Christ lives and that He has brought His church to these modern times through His prophet Joseph Smith. I testify that we have a prophet on the earth today, along with 12 apostles, who will help us see through these turbulent times if we will listen to them and follow the example of our Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because, after doing my own searching, I know that this church is the one that the Lord has provided for us in this day. Although I was raised a Mormon, I did not rely on the witness of others for my knowledge. Like others, I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it - asking the Lord to let me know if its teachings were true. My prayers were answered and I was given to know that this church is the one I should attend. I have continued to study the Word of God to strengthen that testimony. I know that if the Book of Mormon is the Word of God, then Joseph Smith was His prophet and that this church is the continuation of the one He established while He walked the earth as a mortal man. The principles He taught of Faith, Repentance, Baptism by immersion, and using the Holy Ghost to guide us, are the same principles which provide the foundation of this church today. I am a Mormon because I know that He speaks to us through prophets today. I am a Mormon because I know that the Holy canon is not closed but that through modern-day revelation we can still know His will for us today. I am a Mormon because I believe that we have the opportunity to live as families forever if we continue to obey His commandments while on this earth. I am a Mormon because through study, prayer and fasting I have received confirmation that this is His church on the earth.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith each day by following the example of Jesus Christ and serving others as He has asked us to do. Christ taught us that by serving others we are serving Him. Additionally, I work hard to be a positive influence on others. I am always trying to act as He would. I have especially worked with the young people I have met. I think it is so important for young adults and teenagers to find their own witness of Jesus Christ. It is important for them to learn to be selfless and caring towards others. I have tried to maintain good relationships with these young people so that I can help them see the good in the world and to desire to receive their own witness of Jesus Christ.
