Hi I'm Kira

I live in Spanish Fork, I'm 23 years old. I love life. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi guys! It’s me Kira! I am 23 years old and loving it. I am happily married, and have been for 4 years now. I can’t imagine life with out my husband. Marriage has been the best thing for me. Its taught me to love more unconditionally and serve more. So glad I got married. James is my ultimate best friend. I can tell him anything! I work at a place in Provo. It’s a web hosting company and I have been there almost as long as I have been married. It’s a good company and I will probably stay there for a while. I love to shop, tan, do hair, make up, read, watch movies, blog, run, eat, giggle and especially talk!

Why I am a Mormon

I could say I am LDS by default, as I was raised LDS. However-I think the real reason I am a member is because at the age of 16, My Dad passed away. This was hard for me. Words can’t describe the pain of loosing someone so close to you, especially so young. A girl needs her daddy. I learned very quickly what the church teaches is true. Families can be together forever. The spirit was so strong during that time in my life, I had the comfort knowing I didn’t just hope to see my Dad again, I knew I would get to and I someday I will. This is not the only reason I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, but it was definitely the first milestone in my testimony. Since then my testimony has grown. It’s been 7 years now! A lot has changed since then. I can drive. I am out of HS, I am married, and I am strong. I now have a testimony in the book of Mormon and the truthfulness it brings to my life. The power of prayer and that the Lord does hear my cry, The law of tithing, the power of service, and so much more. Even still I have had even HARDER trials come in and out of my life, yet there is always someone that I can count on, and that is Heavenly Father and all the blessings and promises the gospel provides. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is personalized and for each individual there is a answer and a way, even some of the most difficult questions that we face in life. The Lord has NEVER let me down and led me to a place where I should not be. He takes me to beautiful and sacred places I never would have dreamed of, and despite all the hardships I have had, he has given me equal if not more happiness and joy. He has never left me comfortless and I know he never will. Why am I a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints? I guess the answer is simple after all, because I find its teachings to comfort me and help me be better person on a daily basis. I believe it to be true.

How I live my faith

I am in the secretary in Young Womens. I help prepare all the lessons, parties, meetings, and anything in between for the girls. It's a huge calling, but super fun! It's one that requires a lot of time and patience but you learn to love the people who surround you. Each Sunday we talk about different important topics and each Wednesday night we do some sort of activity that has to do with personal progress. I hope I am there for them, and that they feel comfortable talking and communicating with me and all the other leaders. Its great to be a member and to make a contribution!
