Hi I'm Lexi.

I'm a student. I'm an athlete. I'm a daughter, sister, and a friend. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a highschool student. I absolutely love sports: basketball, volleyball, track...etc. It's a big part of my life. I play the piano as well as the flute. I am currently trying the guitar and ukulele, too. A big chunk of my time goes to my various church functions and studies. And, of course, lots and lots of time with HOMEWORK. I love spending time with my family, just having a blast being together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for lots of reasons. This gospel has been the base of my life. Since I was a child, my parents have always taught me the gospel principles and standards. I was raised in a home where these standards were practiced. In my own experience, I have come to know the truthfulness of this gospel through my Savior, Jesus Christ. In all that I do, I know it in my heart He is there for me. He gave His own life for me, and suffered my own sins that one day I might come unto Him. The feelings of peace and comfort that I receive when I choose to follow God's plan are too strong to deny. It is through Christ's example that I can strive to become perfect, as a little child; meek and humble. I know that God still communicates with man today, through our prophets, to guide us and correct us. Whenever I read my scriptures or pray to my Father in Heaven, I feel the Holy Spirit whisper to me that this is true. One of the greatest gifts in my life has been this gospel. It has built me into the person I am, and is still shaping my life, as long as I live a righteous life. I know there is so much I still am working towards to be, but through my Savior's sacrifice, if I ever fall, I know how to pick myself up again, and try harder still. I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, and I know He loves each and everyone of us, individually.

How I live my faith

As a youth in this church, I am able to participate in lots of service projects and many humanitarian aid projects. I get to be around lots of cool people and leaders, with lots of opportunities to serve others. As I have attended high school, I have come to truly understand what it means, as Christ taught, to "love thy neighbour as thyself" (Mark 12:31). It is definitely not easy to love everyone, but with the knowledge I have of the gospel, it gives me so many opportunities with my peers to spread the light of Christ through what I've been taught. It has been so rewarding and I wish EVERYONE could feel the kind of love and acceptance I feel each day with my understanding of God and His plan for me. I guess the singlemost important way I live my faith, is by trying to give back as much love as I am blessed with each day by my Savior and Father in Heaven.
