Hi I'm Karen

Im loving life and its challenges.

About Me

I am a wife of 44 years, and a mother to five grown and married children, and grandmother to 10 wonderful energetic grandchildren and awaiting the arrival of our first great grandchild. I love to watch the sunrise and sunset each day and imagine what eternity will look like. My children say that I cannot have a conversastion with out somehow introducing a gospel principle.I was taught by my mother to always speak in a soft voice and people will listen. My mother also said that when you go beyond the expectations of man , you will then meet the expectations of your Heavenly Father. I try everyday to be a good example to my family so that I can leave them a legacy of honor, loyalty, integrity and a love for the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am an Army brat, and have had the opportunity to visit many countries around the world. These travels in my youth instilled an appreciation of the many freedoms that we enjoy as Americans. It sometimes saddens my heart to observe the younger generation and their lack of appreciation and gratitude for the many people who have fought and died and sacrificed so much and continue to do so. I was born into the church and have always been a member. The missionaries first baptised my grandmother in 1915. I am the third generation of 5 generations to continue to proudly and humbly say.." I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My husband and I are looking forward to the day when we can go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

"Stand Tall and shoot for the stars." My knowledge of my Savior and the gospel has taught me that nothing is impossible. After all, I am a daughter of a kind and loving Heavenly Father. My Heavenly Father hears and answers my prayers. He helps me each day to do my best. He has provided us all with the tools to find our way back to Him. These tools are the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know without a doubt that He loves me and is aware of me. I know that through the Atonement I have the opportunity to be part of a "Forever Family." I know without a doubt that Jesus Lives and that he has restored His gospel to us through our first prophet , Joseph Smith. I know that our present pophet, Thomas Monson leads and directs His church through divine revelation from our Heavenly Father. I know that through continued prayer and study that I can continue to bring myself closer to My Heavenly Father and be able to live up to His expectations of me. My life and sojourn in my mortality would have no meaning and purpose without the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am involved in our community through "walk for the Cure", which is for cancer research. My time and days are spent in helping my husband run our business, which is a Real estate firm. We get to meet many people and learn their stories. My spare time is very limited, but I spend it enjoying my family and watching them grow as they face lifes challenges.
