Hi I'm Kerry

I love the mountains of Idaho.

About Me

I am a dad with 7 fantastic children. With their mom we like to go camping, ride horses, ride 4 wheelers and just enjoy the mountains of Idaho. All of our children are married and live close to home. The first Monday of each month we get together for Family Home Evening. We take turns in rotation who will host the gathering. We have a short lesson or enjoy a game or other activities. I have owned a small service business for 19 years and enjoy the friendships through our business.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. I can not ever recall a time when I did not believe this is the true church of Jesus Christ. As a child and into my youth my belief was probably like most others raised in the church. More of a lifestyle as teachers and parents taught me lessons about the restoration of the church and about Jesus Christ. About a year before I left to go on a mission I thought I had better read the Book of Mormon since I would be teaching people about it. That experience was life changing for me. I received a witness through the Holy Ghost that the things I had been taught were true. I knew for myself. Today I feel honored to be a witness for Jesus Christ that He is who He says He is. He did what He said He would do. I know our Heavenly Father loves us perfectly.

How I live my faith

I enjoy working with the local Catholic Church in their soup kitchen each 2nd, 4th and 5th Friday. We serve about 80 to 130 people. I also work with the young single adults ages 18-30 helping them coordinate activities to meet others the same age. I get to work with the full time missionaries on a regular basis and assist training our local missionaries. These assignments help me forget about myself and in different ways assist others with imediate needs on a physical and spiritual basis. It is very rewarding to see a hungry face light up because of a long awaited meal or another face glow when the Holy Ghost touches their heart as they listen to the missionaries.
