Hi I'm Debbie

I am a mother of two boys. I love running. I love ice cream. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to the love of my life, and we have two little boys. I spend most of my time these days chasing and feeding my kids. I love it. My family makes me happier then I ever could have imagined. I love being a mother. I love reading, with my kids and for myself. I enjoy running. I always want to find an exciting race to train for. Anything I can find fun to do outside, we do it. I spent two years teaching six graders. I dream of writing children's books someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that lived and taught the principles of the church. I always liked the way I felt at church and at home when I was being taught. The things I was learning all made sense. But as I grew older I knew I needed to find out for myself if it was true. At a young age I learned my prayers can be answered. I know I am a child of God. I know my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me. I know that real happiness comes by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and each time I read it I know it's true. And it teaches me things I need for my life daily. I find so much joy in knowing we don't have to experience life and make decisions alone. We have the power of prayer and as I receive answers and follow them...I am filled with joy, I am carried through hard times, and I am able to become a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the best that I can each day. I know my best isn't always enough, but I know that when I do my best the Lord will do the rest. I am so grateful to know who I am, where I'm going, and why I'm here on earth. Knowing the answers to these questions has helped me in every aspect of my life. It helps me remember that some of the little things I do each day to draw closer to my Savior are the most important parts of the day. I work with the 12-13 year old girls at church. It is a wonderful opportunity and I love doing it. I get to teach them the gospel on Sundays and be a part of their weekly activities. I love being with them and feeling their strength. They are such a great example to each other and to everyone around them.
