Hi I'm Janet Lynn Reynders

I love exploring, music, nature, laughing, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currentIy serving a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Salt Lake Utah. In the fall of 2013 I will continue my schooling at Brigham Young University. I Love to sing, write music, and play guitar! I had the opportunity to serve a 4 month service mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day- Saints in Nauvoo Illinois , where I was singing, dancing and acting for all those visiting this historic site. My favorite pastime is taking walks enjoying the outdoors and appreciating the world that was created for me. I strongly believe that just as our Lord created this world we have an innate gift and desire to create as well. I enjoy creating through different means. I am continuing to improve my talents of creating through: painting, designing clothing, writing poems, sewing, and writing music. I feel no greater pleasure than to see I have created something that simply shows applied knowledge.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because I know The Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that by abiding by its precepts we can draw closer to him. The joy I feel from doing service, praying, reading the Book of Mormon, and being close to my Savior and Heavenly Father brings me security and purpose in this life. I know that God lives and that it is through his son Jesus Christ that the atonement was fulfilled. It is because of this atonement that there is hope. Hope for a better life and perfecting ourselves through repentance, so that one day we will be able to return to the place of peace where our Father dwells.

How I live my faith

Because of my faith and knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ I am continually looking for opportunities to serve others. I have found that it is through understanding the true meaning of service and applying it, that I have an increased desire to love and take care of those around me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints has given me many opportunities to serve. I have been able to clean my community along with hundreds of other members. Year after year I work long hours in the heat harvesting grapes for those who need raisins all around the world. I currently participate in a woman's society weekly, where we discuss the needs of people in our community and those that live all around the world. I help with different humanitarian efforts to bring relief to those in need. Every week I gather with members to learn of the gospel of Jesus Christ and increase our testimonies as we teach one another in our church meetings.
