Hi I'm Shiela

I am a daughter, sister, wife& mother. I am a teacher & friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family more than anything in this world. My second love is music. I enjoy participating in and teaching piano and voice lessons. I love to laugh and be silly. I am passionate about most everything I spend my time doing. I enjoy helping people. I feel and share love easily.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the church. I was young, maybe 12 or 13, when I took the opportunity to pray and see for myself if it was true. I learned that our Heavenly Father hears our prayers and he answers them. I know without doubt that The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints is Christ's church restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that our Heavenly Father loves us and wants nothing more than for all of his children to have joy, and return to live again with him. I know the scriptures, both the Bible and The Book Of Mormon, are God's gift to us through his prophets to help in the journey home to him. I strongly and clearly know that there were living prophets in biblical times as strongly and clearly as I know Joseph Smith was a living prophet in these the latter days. I know with surety that there has been a living prophet since Joseph Smith and Thomas S. Monson is now our current living prophet on the earth and can help us home. I know with every fiber of my being that Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know he atoned for our sins in the Garden of Gethsemene. I know he died on the cross, but also know that he rose again on the third day. I know he is our best friend. He will be our advocate with the Father. I love him and I am so thankful to know him.

How I live my faith

I pray everyday that I can be a better example of my Savior. I want to be a positive light in peoples lives. I serve in my ward teaching children and also I direct the choir! I've been called the "choir nazzi". haha I love sharing my testimony through music. I am quick to repent when I am ultra aware of my imperfections. That is more often than I'd like, but I am greatful that the Holy Ghost helps me to know how to be better. I try my hardest to be a good friend, and a good neigbor. I try to be aware of opportunities to serve. I also try to stay involved in my community by being involved the my kids school, and am an active member of the PTA. Mostly I try to remember everyday that I am blessed beyond belief, and try to show people through my additude.
