Hi I'm Cassondra

I'm a missionary for the church serving in the Salt Lake City, Temple Square Mission!

About Me

I am 20 years old. I am serving as a missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am serving in the Salt Lake City, Temple Square Mission. I love my family. I have played the violin for 9 years. I love music and I love spending time with my family. I love the gospel and knowing the blessings that it can bring and the happiness that I have gained from it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my whole life. My grandparents on my mom's side of the family were converts. I've had many instances where my testimony has been strengthened either with EFY, Youth Conference, Sunday school, or Conference. Reading the scriptures has helped my testimony grow drastically throughout the past year, and doing Personal Progress. I know my family is much stronger because of the church. It has helped us through many things, and we've been given so many blessings because of it. There comes a time in everyone's lives where we need to question and find out what we believe to be true. I have come to a knowledge for myself that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true, and there is no other church on this earth today with all of the fullness of the gospel. I love being a member of the church and sharing my experiences or my testimony with others. I love sharing my insight or my thoughts with people. I love feeling the spirit and knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me so much.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the church. I love being able to help others to come closer to Christ and help them to understand and know for themselves the love what Christ has for each one of us individually. I strive to act in the ways that I hope to be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. I am a seminary graduate and have served in many callings in presidencies while I was in Young Women's. I also completed my Personal Progress when I was 17 years old.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

I think a testimony is your knowledge as an individual, that you've acquired about the gospel doctrine principals and teachings. It's very individual and is acquired through prayer, trial of faith and reading scriptures and talks. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is the 3rd member of the Godhead. He has many names throughout the scriptures such as The Holy Spirit, The Spirit of God, The Spirit of the Lord, The Comforter, and just simply The Spirit. We believe that the Holy Ghost is a separate being from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Ghost is there to lead and guide us, as long as we are worthy of His presence.
