Hi I'm Walter

I am preparing to serve a two year mission in Chihuahua Mexico. I like to swim and ski. I love spending time with my family.

About Me

My name is Walter St. Pierre. I am from Moscow Idaho. I am going on a two year mission to serve the people of Chihuahua, Mexico. Before my mission I was studying Molecular Biology at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I plan to go on to get a phd in Molecular Biology when I return and then I plan to get a job doing research. I love to be with my family when ever I get the chance. I have two married sisters and one sister who is younger than me. Finally, I enjoy many different physical activities some of my favorites are swimming and skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my parents are active members of this church; however, I had to find out for myself that this church is the true church that God has established on the earth. I have learned this by studying and asking God, through prayer. I know that this is the true church of God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it not only contains the history of an ancient people, but it also contains the word of God. I know that Christ lives and that he suffered for my sins, trials, pains, and heartaches. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon from an ancient record and that he was called of God to be a prophet and to bring forth God's church. I know that Thomas S. Monson has been called to be a prophet and lead God's church today. Finally, I know that I can live together with my family forever through the Great Plan of Happiness that God has instituted for us, his children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to three hours of church meetings every Sunday. Very soon I will head to the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah and from there to Chihuahua, Mexico, where I will be serving the people for two years. I am doing this because I know it is what Christ wants me to do. I also live my Faith by continually striving to align my life with Christ's Gospel, keep his commandments, and do what he would have me do.
