Hi I'm Emily

I have participated in theater since I was 9. I love working with children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest in my family, with three brothers, one older and two younger. My mom put me in dance when I was about 5 and have been dancing ever since. I have gotten onto point in ballet and have started teaching younger girls. I have completed a year of college and I'm preparing for a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I made the decision to be baptized and follow the Savior's example when I was 8. I have followed the examples of my Church leaders, my parents, and the Prophets throughout my life and have been blessed for it. I know that Jesus Christ is my brother and that He suffered for our sins and died so we can return to live with Him. Our Father in Heaven loves us and wants us to return to Him. We are here on this Earth for a reason, to grow and become like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I faithfully attend my church meetings and participate in the lessons. I look for every opportunity to serve the ward members, my neighbors, and people in my community. I strive to live like Jesus, doing the will of my Father and obeying His commandments. Right now, I am preparing to serve a mission in Birmingham, Alabama.

What do Mormons believe about family?

We believe that the family is ordained of God. He sent us to this Earth to learn and to grow that we may become like Him, but He did not send us to do it alone. Our family is meant to help us to become the best we can be. In order to achieve our greatness, God has commanded that a man and a woman must be lawfully wedded as husband and wife before bearing children. A family needs a father and mother, man and woman, to complement each other, pick up where one is not as strong, and to guide the family together, side by side. By following God's commandment concerning marriage and family, everyone receives numerous blessings. Show more Show less
