Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Idaho, U.S.A. I love to meet people and help them. I am an x-ray technologist.

About Me

I am 5th of eight children, been a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints all of my life. I served as a missionary for the church in the land of New Zealand. I married my sweetheart in the Salt Lake Temple. I am father to 15 beautiful children. I worked various factory jobs and retail sales. I was fortunate to attend college and learn a vocation in the medical field, which gives me an opportunity to help and serve others. I recently have had the opportunity to be called to serve in the local ward bishopric. This brings many blessings to me and my family as I serve others. I am a do it your self so called carpenter, electrician, plumber. The last 7 years have been filled with numerous home remodeling projects. I hope to complete this sometime in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings have always made sense to me and I thought if there was a divine and true church on the earth it had to be the Mormon church. As a youth I believed and relied on my parents beliefs. It moved me to tell other people, so I spent two years away from my family teaching the doctrine of the Mormon church to the people of New Zealand. There have been times in my life when I didn't live in harmony with those things that I had been taught and lived. When these times occurred I just wasn't happy in my life and felt like I was missing out on a richer fuller life. I'm not sure exactly when I knew that the church was true. But I've come to know it is true as I have lived by it"s teachings. I'm more happy and fullfilled in my life. I love my wife and children and want them to be with me in this life and the next, forever. Living a righteous life and partaking of the temple blessings assures me of this blessing. I believe in a loving savior, even Jesus Christ who atoned for my sins and died for me that through his love and grace and my willingness to repent of things done wrong I will be able to dwell with him and heavenly father and my earthly family for ever. I know the Book of Mormon was written for our time, that it in companionship with the Bible establish two witnesses of Jesus Christ's divinity and life. That he is the son of God and my savior. They together contain the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that by reading, studying , and applying these precepts that I can truly be happy in this life. I feel the goodness and the sweetness of the plain and precious truths as I study the Book of Mormon. The Mormon or correct name of the church, "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" has all the truths, power and authority of Christ's original church and by living it's principles is the only way we can return to live with our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

Each day I strive to have personal and family prayer. I read and study the scriptures in the Book of Mormon and the Bible both personally and with my family. On Monday nights we reserve time to be with our families and sometimes friends to discuss and teach ways that we can live the teachings of Jesus Christ. We strive to put into practice those things we've learned. I with one of my sons go visit other families to bring them messages of gospel truths and to offer to help in service anything they may need help with. I have been asked to be in a position of leadership to watch, work, serve, teach, testify, and love all people in the area that I serve. When able I visit the sick and do service for others. Through the priesthood authority from God that I hold, I give blessings of healing or comfort as the spirit of the Lord makes known to me. I fast as directed by the Lord and strive to live all his commandments. I strive to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. I chose my vocation in the medical field because it gives me the opportunity to serve others in a kind, compassionate and loving way. I pay tithes to the Lord and I've tried to teach my children to do the same. I work with the youth each week in scouting and other youth activities. I with other members of the church do service projects to help those who are sick or are in need of help. I try to be an example in my life of the savior's teachings. I'm a Mormon and thankful to be one.
