Hi I'm Danny

I'm from Oregon. I just like to smile, smiling is my favorite. I love hanging out with my friends and family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn and I love to help others. I decided to become a paramedic firefighter because I wanted to have a job that would allow me to help others and make a difference. Even though I graduated from paramedic school am still a part-time student because I love to learn. Someday I want to know EVERYTHING. I love Central Oregon because I love to be outdoors doing things like hiking, biking, running, rock climbing, xc skiing, and playing all kinds of sports. I am a Capricorn, my favorite color is light tan, and my favorite letter is "h". I like to read good books and watch good movies. I come from a large family (I have seven siblings). Though I am single now the thing that I hope for most in this world is to be married and have an awesome family of my own. And someday, when I grow up, I want to be a cowboy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was as they say "born in the faith," but that is not why I am a mormon. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true church on the Earth. I know this because the Lord has told me so by the power of the Holy Spirit. I Know that God lives because I feel him listening to and answering my prayers. I know that God is my Father, that He loves me and thinks that my soul is precious to Him, and that He wants me back. I know this because He sent His son Jesus Christ to suffer and be a sacrifice for my sins so that CAN come back to God, my Heavenly Father. I know that Christ loves me as well because He suffered all of my sins, all of my pains, and all of my sorrows willingly because He knew that it was the only way to get me back. And He wants me back. I know that because of Christ's sacrifice that I can be forgiven of my sins and one day stand clean before God and enter into His kingdom. I think that it is amazing that my Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ, would love me so much, and pay such a high price for somebody as insegnificant and broken as I am. I don't understand why or how somebody can love me that much, but I DO know that They do. I am committed to the living the full gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that the full gospel of Jesus Christ and all of its truths are found and taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am Committed to all truth whether it is proved by scientific method or revealed to me by God who is the source of all truth. If it is true, then I believe it and will live for it. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true because it has been revealed to me by God, and I know that He wants me to follow Him and be a member of His Church. I am committed to doing what God, my Father, wants me to do. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I feel like life is like an obstacle course that God has designed especially for me. This course is difficult by design to teach me the things that He wants me to know. God wants to train me and all of his children how to become like Him. He wants us to be the best that we can be. My life has been so hard for me. I now realize that it is hard for everybody else too, and that this is on purpose. So when life doesn't turn out the way the I want, I try not to become bitter, and I try to turn to God and let Him change my heart for the better. I have adopted an attitude that I am willing to learn whatever it is that I need to learn if it means that I can return to live with God one day. I love to learn. And it is just as well because I have a lot to learn. I am learning my way through my obstacle course back to God and I want to do whatever I can to help others in their obstacle course. I love to help others. That is what Jesus did when He was here and what He wants me to do now. Christ said, "...Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." (Matthew 25:40). It makes my life worth while if I can help others or share their burdens. I understand that life is hard for others because it is hard for me. If I can do anything to help others on their way, I feel like that is something that the Lord will be pleased with. I am far from perfect but I hope that some day my life will be an expression of Matthew 16:25, "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosever will lose his life for my sake shall find it." I believe that the purpose of this life is so that we can be tutored in the ways of God and one day return to live with Him. Among the many hundreds of good things of the world that I can try to get, if I miss that one essential purpose then it will all be for naught. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).
