Hi I'm Jeani

I'm a single mother, I work at a library, I have the best kids in the world, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children and 4 grandchildren. I work full-time and go to school part-time. I love chocolate, ice cream, and popcorn. I enjoy going to the movies and going out to dinner for a good steak. I have one son serving a mission in Las Vegas, NV on a Spanish speaking mission. My son Mat and my daughter Sammi still live at home with me. Mat is attending college and is planning on getting his degree in the field of medicine. My daughter Sammi is a senior in high school and is very involved in different activities such as Key Club, Green Club, cheerleading, tennis, babysitting, church and volunteering. I plan on graduating from college in 2 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Catholic church and my family went inactive while I was in elementary school. After having children I realized I needed to get back to church to raise my children the right way. I spent 10-15 years looking for the right place for me and my family. After moving to a town in CO, I met my neighbors who were members of the Mormon church. They were great examples of what I believed a true Christian is. I wanted to be like them and feel what they felt. I asked a lot of questions and started to attend the Mormon church. After discovering that the church had the answers I was looking for, I became a member. I have been a member just about 15 years. I have had several trials in my life, but know that the gospel of Jesus Christ through His true church has helped me to become who I am. I believe that the Holy Spirit speaks to us and helps us to guide us through our lives. I enjoy seeing the results of having answers in my life through watching my children grow into wonderful young adults.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on a regular basis, supporting my children in their growth, serving in my community, serving in my church, and trying to help other people understand the importance of learning about Jesus Christ. I currently serve in church in the primary and enjoy watching the children learn of Christ and act like Christ.
