Hi I'm Jeff

I grew up Mormon. I got lost but found my way back! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lifelong student and love to learn. I love talking with people and listening to their stories. I love going to the movies with my family and friends. I love anything with a good story. I am currently serving a mission for my church and am trying to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only place that makes sense. I grew up in this Church but stopped attending after high school. During the years I wasn’t going to church I was able to learn and grow a lot but even though I had a pretty good job, a nice car and a good place to live I still felt like I was missing something. It was a few years later that I realized what I was missing and that something is the Holy Ghost. After we are "born of water," or baptized, we can be "born […] of the Spirit" by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. A person with God's authority puts his hands on our heads and gives us the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:17). The Holy Ghost will only stay with us when we are keeping the commandments of God. This gift is what I was missing. The Holy Ghost gives you power to make good decisions and it also testifies that Christ lives. I didn't notice the power the Holy Ghost brought to my life until one night after praying to my Father in Heaven I felt his presence. I was lost in my life and I didn't know what direction to go. I knew of only one thing that could help me and it was what I was taught to do since I was a child and that was to pray to my Heavenly Father. I knelt down in my room and cried with all my soul for help and direction. Instantly I was overcome with the Holy Ghost and I knew exactly what I needed to do. I remember a voice speak to me the words "My Son, I love you". Since then I have been working toward that vision one step at a time. It still isn't easy but I have a peace that only comes through the Holy Ghost. This church means everything to me now. I love my Father in Heaven. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and His church and I am happy to be here with them.

How I live my faith

I try to go about doing good. I am taking it one day at a time and I learning how to follow Jesus Christ. Right now I am serving a mission where I teach people about the happiness I have found.
