Hi I'm Katie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and a mother. I have two children and a wonderful husband. I have a degree in Speech Language Pathology and I have worked as Special Education teacher for 3 years. I love children and the love and learning they bring to my life. Some of my most favorite things are being a mom, organizing, kickboxing, reading to my children, going on spontaneous adventures with my family and budget fashion. I am an exercise enthusiast and I love sharing this joy with my family. We hike, walk, run, and play together. My favorite time of year is fall especially on the east coast. My daughter and I love going on long walks as we admire all of God's many creations. I have a special connection with both of my children and I love how different they are. Each piece of their personality is unique. I am honored to be their mother and to guide them in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in God the Eternal Father and in his Son, Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. I believe that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for my family. I believe that we were sent here to earth to experience family life and to qualify ourselves to return to live with our Father in Heaven. I know that families are sacred and they are the central role of God's plan for us. I know that Jesus Christ died on the cross so that I might live again. I know that he suffered for my sins so that I may repent and be with my family forever. I love being a Mormon because it gives purpose to my existence here on earth. I am thankful for the gospel and the truth and light it gives to my life and to my family's life. I follow Jesus Christ and his example. I try to serve others, love unconditionally, and seek out good and up lifitng things in all I do. I know with out a shadow of a doubt that obedience to God's laws and commandments has brought true happiness in my life. It is through the protection of these laws and commandments that all things happen for our good. I love God. I love Jesus Christ. I love my family. I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by putting my trust in the Lord and allowing his gospel to lead my life. I stand as a lioness for my family, ultimately guarding them and making sure they can handle all that life brings them. I teach my children the happiness that the obedience to the gospel brings and we study, pray, and learn together. With my husband, we hold regular family nights weekly. We sing with our children, teach them a gospel principle, and then we just play together and enjoy each other. As my children grow and our family changes, my husband and I see an ever increasing need to teach our children service as Jesus served in his ministry. As we seek out the one lost sheep, our children see our faith in action. They see that we treasure our membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and they see that we must serve other and lift them up. They understand we know that Jesus Christ lived and died for us. Through this, we carry the burden of others and act on our faith that we can all return to our father in heaven if we live God's commandments and fully repent of our sins.
