Hi I'm Colton

I love shooting guns, riding four-wheelers, camping, and blowing stuff up. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. I'm 21 years old and I'm the oldest of two kids in my family. I'm obsessed with technology, engineering, history, science, and the latest gadgets. I'm a World War II history buff. My top hobby is going shooting- rifles, pistols, shotguns, whatever. I can't get enough of it. I enjoy doing things most with my family and friends. I love spending time with them at the sand dunes in Utah cruising around on four-wheelers and going camping in the mountains. I graduated from high school, went to work at a grocery store, and just months later, I received my mission call to the Florida Ft. Lauderdale spanish speaking mission. That's where I'm at now, serving our Lord Jesus Christ. I've never been happier in all my life! When I get back, I plan to study mechanical engineering, get a career going, and most importantly, build an eternal family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been blessed to be united with my family in a life centered around Jesus Christ and His gospel. I would definitely say that I took most of it for granted for much of my life, and until I came out on my mission, I didn't know of its importance. Serving as a missionary, I have been priviledged to share what I know is true with others who do not have the blessings that I grew up with. Seeing these people and working with them reminds me of what my life would look like without the restored gospel, and it makes me want to share it even more. I know now that any and all success I have experienced in this life is because of Jesus Christ, and that all I wish to achieve is only possible through Him. Through Him, I have hope, and I know for myself, that families can be together forever in a state of happiness that has no end. Through Him, I can return back to live with my Heavenly Father. Through my prayers, I have felt of His presence in my life. I know that He lives, that He loves me and my family, and that He has revealed His plan of happiness to all of His children through living prophets. I know who I am, where I came from, and where I'm going in life. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Going to church every Sunday, reading the scriptures, praying, and constantly striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ is how I live my faith. I always try to spend time doing things that strengthen my testimony. Right now I'm serving a mission to serve others, which is a full time duty. I love it. I love getting to know other people and helping them develop their own faith in Christ.
