Hi I'm Jacob Jackson

I'm from Indiana. I am a husband and father. I work in IT, play basketball and the saxophone. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently work in the technology department for a school district. I have a beautiful wife and 2 charming and young sons. I love playing sports, particularly basketball, softball, and ultimate Frisbee. I'm a home owner and a casual gamer. Spending time with friends and family is on my list of all time favorite activities and that is the short story of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up going to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and it wasn't until I was a teenager that I had to figure out if I was a "Mormon' because I wanted to be one, or if I was just going because that is what my family taught me. I distinctly remember reading the scriptures and praying to find an answer for myself if the Church was really what it claimed to be, the Church of Jesus Christ. I received a personally witness from the spirit that it is truly Jesus Christ's church. The undeniable feeling of peace and comfort let me know then and still confirms that truth to me as I write this message now. I know the Church is true. I know all it teaches about Jesus Christ, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and living prophets is true. Joseph Smith was a prophet and instrument in the hands of God to restore His gospel to the earth. I know anyone who will carefully study, pray, and honestly seek to know the truth can find out for themselves. That promise comes from our loving Heavenly Father and it is a sure promise.

How I live my faith

I served as a missionary for the church from 2006-2008 in the Brazil, Londrina Mission. I gave my best during those two years and do my best now to live the teachings I taught during those two years. I have had the opportunity to serve and various positions within the church. I have been a teacher, I have worked with the youth, and I currently serving as a leader with men 18 and up. I try to be a missionary still today and share the wonderful message of the restored gospel with those I come in contact. I try to live what I learn from the scriptures and living prophets. That is how I try and live my faith.
