Hi I'm Devon

I grew up in Ritzville. I'm trying to figure out what to do with my life. I'm a middle child. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family. I'm the middle child of nine kids, and I love them all. I graduated from high school with no honors, but even though I'm not the smartest person in the world I feel like my life is going in the right direction. College is someting I want to do, but earning, and saving money for my mission is my focus. I'm almost twenty-one, and I am seriously considering going on a mission, but I still have a while to see where my plans take me. I love to write stories. I write fiction, but I have never really fineshed my stories, because I have so many ideas running through my head I can't fully concentrate on one story. I love books, and I can read for days non-stop. Movies are my favorite. I can't go a day without watching one. I also like making them. I make my younger siblings dress up and act in front of a camera so I can create my own little movie, and share it with my family. One day I hope to share my stories with the world, and my dream is to learn more about film. I love my life, and I feel very happy to have grown in such a loving family. Family is everything to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. It has always been there in my life, and I can't see myself without the gospel. Now that I am grown, and able to make my own decisions, I still follow the teachings, and example of the lord. The church is nothing but good, and it is all about love, love that Heavenly Father has for us. I go to church, and other church activities to be reminded of the love he has for me and all his children. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, my redeemer, and my loving brother. I know that he took my sins, and felt my pain. He died for me, because he loves me. I know that he was ressurected and lives today. I know that he appeared, with Heavenly Father, to Joseph Smith, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I am grateful for the many blessings I have recieved. I am grateful for my family, and how strong each of them is. They are wonderful examples to me. I know they will always be there to guide me, and comfort me. I know I was chosen to be a part of my family, because I needed them in my life. I am so grateful of the power of prayer, and how it is always there to help me through tough times. I love my Heavenly Father, and Savior Jesus Christ. The church is always on my mind, and the teachings I learn from it, and the scriptures I study from have always been a great comfort to me. I love the church, and all that it stands for. Like I said before, the church is love, and love is always a great feeling to have.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to live a good, and rightous life. I want to help everyone who needs it, but I know that won't be possible, but because I live in a small town, and everyone knows eachother I feel it is important to be a good example always. One way I help others is to be kind, and loving towards everyone. I walk strong, eat healthy, talk appropriatly, stay away from temptation not only for me, but so others can see how joyful and good the church is in my life. All mormons dress and act the same, and I feel that is important to always be a good example so it will rub off on others who are watching. I help in the community when their is help wanted, because I love my town. Callings I have had I have taken seriously, because I trully do think every calling is important. I really do want everyone in the world to feel the saviors love, and just know that they don't have to be alone. That is why I want to serve a mission, and I hope I get the chance to do it so I can find those who are wondering why they are here. I want to help them.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Devon
Family is very important to me. I love the thought of knowing they will always be with me. The church has always taught me that familys can be together forever, and I know it is true. Thinking about how great of a blessing that is, only proves how much our Heavenly Father loves us. He wants us to be happy, and I know that he loves me and my family. Show more Show less
