Hi I'm Caleb

I'm an actor, a musician, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My biggest passions are music and theatre. I love acting and anything with music. Some of the plays I've been in include Macbeth, Midsummer Nights Dream, Taming of the Shrew, and Merchant of Venice. I've been acting since I was in the 6th grade. I've also been heavily involved in music since then. I took piano lessons when I was young, but didn't stick with it. My main instruments are clarinet and saxophone. I was in band all throughout middle school and high school, including marching band. I'm going to college at Southern Virginia University and pursuing a double major in theater and music. Apart from theater and music, I love being with family and friends, I love hiking, rock climbing, repelling, kayaking, riding roller coasters, soccer, and guitar hero. I love my family and friends a lot, they mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member all my life, but I would say that I was truly converted at about 16-17 ish. I began to wonder if what I had been learning about all my life is true and real. So I did what we are told to do: pray about it. I prayed every night asking Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon is true and if the church is true. Except I didn't ever feel like I got an answer. Then one night as I was praying, I expressed to Heavenly Father that I felt like I hadn't recieved an answer. My mind immediately reflected back on every time I had prayed and how I had felt. I realized that while I hadn't felt anything very noticeably different, I always felt peaceful and calm. I realized that was my answer. It wasn't much, but it was enough. Ever since then I have acted on faith that that was my answer and as I have, I have received stronger and stronger witnesses of the truthfulness of this gospel. The Holy Ghost often speaks in a still small voice, and that's what I felt every time I prayed although I didn't realize it. I know that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. He lives and leads this church through a living prophet. By applying the atonement of Christ and repenting of our sins, we bring a greater peace and joy to our lives. There is no greater peace or happiness than that which comes by doing our best to live the gospel.

How I live my faith

I try to base my life off of following the example of Jesus Christ. I am nowhere near perfect, but I know that as I do what I can to follow His example and always live the standards set by the church, I will find happiness and peace.
