Hi I'm Leisha

I’m a wife, and a mother of two beautiful girls here on earth; and a perfect baby boy in Heaven. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up most of my life with a single dad. I moved to Washington when I was 14 and started to live with my Mom at that point. I’m glad I did, because that is where I met my husband’s family. I married my husband in December of 2005. In 2010 he graduated from Cornell University in New York with his Masters in horticulture. We then moved back to Washington. He works hard so I can be a stay at home mom and I love it! My girl’s ages are 7 and 4. My girls often tell me I’m a “Silly Mommy” which is my goal. I love musicals and plays, so it’s normal for my girls to hear me burst out into song and see me dance silly. I found out my son was already being held by angels at my 38 week appointment. I held him for the first and last time on January 3, 2013. Having a stillborn son broke my heart! But, it was a beautiful heartbreak!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a Mormon but was not active. It wasn’t until I moved to Washington when I was 14 that I learned the church was true. I started to say prayers every morning and night. I confided and talked to my Heavenly Father about my thoughts, desires, and my heartaches. I started to read the scriptures and to study them. I started to feel the Holy Ghost in my life. It was then that I knew that the church was true. I felt the love of my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ, I knocked and they opened the door. I'm Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith every day teaching my children. I take every opportunity to let my little girls know that they are daughters of a Heavenly Father that loves them. That they have a savior Jesus Christ who loved them so much, he gave his life so they could return to be with their Heavenly Father. By reading the scriptures and praying brings me closer to my Savior. After losing my son, I've come to know that the closer I am to my Savior, the closer I can feel to my son.
