Hi I'm Jan

I am an Idaho farm gal, I am raising money to build a school in Ghana, I love to run, bake, and socialize, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 children from adulthood to elementary school. I am currently employeed with two part-time jobs. I run an orthodonticts office and am a CRS rep. for a company. I find people to be very interesting and have a passion of getting to know others interest, cultures, and backgrounds. I love to travel and experience life! I enjoy design and creating things with my hands whether it be baking, cooking a new recipe, making a quilt or just rearranging a room. I find that I get the most joy out of life when I am serving others and truly strive to make others lives easier.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in the church from childbirth but I continue to be an actve member because of the happiness it brings into my life. I can see people struggling around me, not knowing what direction to take in their life or making sad choices that result in making their lives sadder. I know if I stay true to the commandments the Lord has set for me and keep the standards of the church, that I can find peace, happiness, and even joy in this life time. It doesn't mean that I won't have struggles, disappointments, or just want to quit life, but with the Lord by my side I will be able to be more positive during hard times and know that no matter what...I am not in this alone, that the Lord is by my side.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a disciple in word, action, and deeds! I truly strive to be more helpful to strangers, whether holding the door for someone, being appreciative to someone lending me a service by saying thank you, or just looking someone in the eyes and giving them a smile. I think people can feel if your truly sincere about your gestures and it can uplift their spirits and make their day a little easier. Kindness and love for all mankind can truly go a long ways. I serve with the Young Women in our area and I love to help them grow and learn principals that will help make their lives easier and happier. I love to see it in their eyes when they have an A-HA moment and the lights go on. Then I know I have truly done something good.
