Hi I'm Mark

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of two wonderfully active children, I work full time and just finished obtaining my Degree while taking night classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of this church and followed my brothers footsteps to serve a mission. This is where I had my true conversion. I always believed what I heard, but it was when I had witnessed a very dear friend of 20 pass away while serving that I was comforted with the knowledge of life after death. I learned how we will have the opportunity to learn and grow and that there is more than just this life here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I was recently called to be the Ward Mission Leader in Taylor. This role has reopened my eyes to the experiences that I had when I was a missionary in Northern California. I get the opportunity to work with people who are just learning about the LDS Church. I get to go with the young missionaries to visit people who are new members of the LDS Church and help them continue with their progress and help to make sure they continue to receive the support they need.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Mark
The Boy Scouts teach being prepared, we take it the same way, you need to be self sustaining and able to support your family and friends as needed. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Mark
Yes, Mormons is a nickname that was given to the church because we not only read and study from the Bible but also the Book of Mormon. The full name of the church is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" thus as you can see in the full name we believe in Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
