Hi I'm Mckelle Chubbuck
I am a Mormon.
My name is Mckelle, I am 22 years old and a lot has happened in the past year! I recently got married, graduated from BYU and now work full-time in the Safety Dept. at an iron pipe manufacturing factory. My husband is one of the kindest, sweetest men I've ever met. He inspires me to be better every day! We love doing almost anything and everything active - soccer, tennis, basketball, swimming, hiking, etc. The only thing I can't get him to do with me is yoga :) I absolutely love yoga! Despite all of these fun things, our favorite thing to do together is go to the temple. We feel the most love for each other and for the Savior when we serve together in the house of the Lord.
Why I am a Mormon
Being a Mormon gives me comfort, joy and peace about everything in life. The knowledge of the gospel helps me to endure each and every trial that comes my way. Little or small - I know that the Savior is there right beside me, leading the way. I grew up with a family that was very strong in the gospel. I have so many amazing family members and friends that provide strong examples of what it means to live a life dedicated to Christ. These family members and friends shaped me to become who I am today. My testimony really started to form and strengthen in my High School years. I've always known that the church is true, but I started to feel the burning in my heart the more I began dedicating my life to Christ. Temple work is truly what has shaped, and continues to shape my testimony of this gospel. It allows me to grow closer to Christ and understand the plan that has been set forth for my life on this earth. This knowledge is what brings me comfort during times of trial - I know that everything happens for a reason. Although it's not always easy, I find comfort in the fact that Christ is taking me down a path that will eventually lead me to eternal joy and happiness. I am so grateful for temple work and personal revelation. The Holy Ghost has given me strength, comfort and revelation in times that I needed it most. I know with all of my heart that this gospel is true, and that is why I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
How I live my faith
I live my faith in baby steps, day-by-day. I try to do a little more each day to show my love and dedication for this gospel. I don't always succeed but I always try! My husband and I recently taught the adult members of the church in a class about our Gospel Doctrine. I have learned that service and sacrifice are key to living the gospel. Although it's not easy, I have seen myself grow most during times of trial and sacrifice. By giving a little more each day, the Savior strengthens me to slowly become the person I want to become. My husband and I also live the gospel by striving to attend the temple each week. Here in Provo, the temple is so close to us and we try to attend as much as we can. Like I said before, this gives us more strength than anything else we can do on our own!
