Hi I'm Rebecca

I am the mother of 7 children with one in heaven. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a child I grew up in the military moving every 1-3 years. Maybe that's why I love to meet new people and traveling! I am an active mother of 6 children. I love to sing, play the piano, and scrapbook. I have always enjoyed reading and enjoy different genres like fantasy, and young adult. I love the mountains and hate the cold! I find the biggest joy in seeing my children triumph and watching them make memories together. Having lost a child, I know what grief feels like and want to live my life in such a way so that I can be with her again, forever.

Why I am a Mormon

My life has been one of ups and downs. In the past three years, I have had several hardships that have rocked me to the center. It has been my faith in Jesus Christ and the small tender mercies that have pulled me through. I am a Mormon because without the gospel in my life I would fear the world my children are living in. Because we have a Prophet at the helm, I am able to guide my family and create a safe haven in my home. I am a Mormon because it reminds me that I am here for a purpose and reminds me of who I am. Three years ago I lost a child. In my grief, sorrow, and pain there were too many private prayers and desires answered through other people that only God Himself knew. Because of the knowledge that I have that this life is not the end but an interim, I was able to face each day with the conviction to be a little better, to be a little kinder, to forgive a little more. I am a Mormon because it teaches me that through temple ordinances I am sealed or bound to my family forever. My sweet little girl that is no longer with me here is mine forever. I will see her again. What a beautiful promise! I am a Mormon because it is here that I find peace, joy, and happiness. What more can I ask for?

How I live my faith

I have served several years as a leader and teacher to the youth 18 months to 11 years of age in our children organization. I have loved teaching simple gospel messages and seeing the light bulb turn on as they learn a new concept. I have felt the power from a four year old's testimony of the Savior as he told of how He loves him. I live my faith by the way I choose to dress, speak, and treat others. It is my goal to live my life as the Savior lived his: compassionately, with service, and love. That is why I belong to the largest women organization in the world, The Relief Society. Through this program in the church we are able to find those whose hands that hang down and strengthen the feeble knees. My life has been richly blessed because of the service that I have been able to give and infinitely blessed because of the service that has been given to me.
