Hi I'm Sean

Married to my amazing wife, Natalie. I work as an Accountant.

About Me

I work as an Accountant, I served as a Missionary for 2 years in Scotland. I married Natalie in September 2010. I love to spend time with my wife and family. I love Football! My father joined the church when i was 6 years old and from there i was taught by my parents about scripture, prayer and became aware from a young age that my belief in God would be a crucial part of everything i did in life.

Why I am a Mormon

My father converted to the Mormon Church when i was 6 years old. He immediately began to be taught by the Full-Time Missionaries; from a young age Missionaries were constantly in my home, teaching my Father - he accepted the message that they shared about Eternal Families, Life after death, How to truly KNOW that there is a God, The Purpose of Life and many other principles. As my father accepted the message of the Gospel, i too, aged 8, was baptized. As a young boy i don't remember much about what was taught from my parents and other members of the church, but i do remember the feelings of peace and comfort that over-came me when i was living the principles of the Gospel. I became familiar with Prayer and i am grateful that i can communicate with a living God and that through feelings from the Holy Ghost i can receive answers and knowledge. I know that God lives, i know that Jesus Christ died and was resurrected and that through this amazing act we are able to repent and draw closer to God. I know that in the life to come that i will be able to meet and also be reunited with loved ones who have passed away. I know that anyone who sincerely searches for the truth will find it through the teachings and principles found in the Book of Mormon. I have prayed to God and asked him if this book is true - and i know that it is. I came to know this more fully when i served as a Mormon Missionary in Scotland - i helped and invited people to learn more about The meaning of Life, Does God have a plan for me, Is there Life after Death and many other questions which every honest man seeks answers to. I came to find these answers for myself also as i testified of Christ and his teachings.

How I live my faith

Through attending church on Sundays i feel strengthened as i spend time worshipping Christ. As a family we attend church each Sunday. I strive to speak to work colleagues, friends and family about my faith - i know that families are important to most people and as a Mormon i know that families can be together forever. Sharing this message with those who are not of our faith is important to me - often families struggle to find purpose and lasting happiness; i know that through the Gospel of Christ that any family can become more united and closer together. I am striving to use Family History as a way of introducing my Grandparents and other relatives to the church. I have found great happiness as i have spoken with my family about our ancestors and listened to stories and memories about those who have gone before me.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Sean
Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. We worship God and Jesus Christ - through prayer and daily living of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we show that we love and revere God and Christ. Just like in times of old God has called Prophets - like Adam, Moses, Noah and Abraham - and because God loves his Children he has reached out again and called Modern Day Prophets and Apostles - Joseph Smith is a Prophet, who was called by God - we love Him and are grateful for Him and all other Prophets who have been called by God. We only Worship God and Christ. Show more Show less
