Hi I'm Mercy

I am an Administrative Assistant for the Flint River Regional Library, a member of the PTO of three schools and a Mormon mom.

About Me

I am an Administrative Assistant, part-time, for the regional ibrary system in our area. I work 18-20 hours per week in between taking tennis lessons, being a chauffeur, cook, laundress, PTO volunteer, nurse, eternal signature providing mom who loves to play volleyball and even more than sports, loves to travel. I met my husband when my family moved to a small rural suburb of Sacramento, California when I was in the fourth grade. We've now been married for 16+ years and I love him more now than I ever thought possible. We are raising four sons and one daughter in Georgia because it's a beautiful part of the country and a great area to nurture a family.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ just makes sense to me. I did not grow up as a member of this church but was introduced through members of my volleyball team when I was a freshman in high school. I had always considered myself a God-fearing Christian person but my family did not attend any church. I attended different churches with many different friends through middle school and the beginning of high school but only when I attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints did I feel the spirit strongly testify to me that the principles taught to it's members are the word of God and explain our purpose for being here on Earth. I can't imagine what my life would be like without the gospel and organization of the one true church on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect. I can't seem to find the time to do ALL the things I need to do but I continue to TRY. That is all we are expected to do. There will be other times in my life when I may be able to balance EVERYTHING but right now I prioritize what is important: 1. Family 2. Church 3. Job 4. other interests.
