Hi I'm Sister Gracie Huang

I'm a second generation immigrant from Taiwan. I've been called to serve in the Vancouver, Canada mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in America, but both my parents are Taiwanese. I grew moving between the two countries often. I'm the eldest of five children, and I study English and Philosophy at BYU-Idaho. I've been called to serve in the Vancouver, Canada Mandarin Speaking Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Belief in God is sometimes hard to understand with logic. For me, it's something that feels right. The peace I feel when reading the Book of Mormon, when I'm listening to living Latter-Day prophets is something that cannot be denied. As I continually study the scriptures and pray to God, I am reminded that there is a Heavenly Father that loves me. He has a plan for me, and I am here for a reason. I may be one, but as I come to love and trust Him, I know that I can become better and do more than I ever could alone.

How I live my faith

I submitted my mission papers after a semester of college. Though I love learning and fully intend to return and finish school, I realized that a mission was something I needed to do. I've loved being involved in Campus service committees and I love being with other people. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. The world is often confusing and scary, but knowing where we come from, why we're here and where we are going is a great comfort. I don't intend to keep this to myself, so I'll be spending 18 months in Vancouver BC, sharing the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
