Hi I'm Lindsay Miller

I am a music-loving, sport-loving, hardworking mother of two. I'm a wife to a loving husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of two (almost two, I'm pregnant and due in January) and I love every minute of it, well almost every minute.I try to be the best mom I can be, I have my days where I think I may go bald because of all of my hair pulling but I know everyday is a new day and my son loves me just for being a mom. There is just something so sweet about a 2 year old who can't really communicate in words but is still able to communicate is love in hugs and kisses. It really makes my day. I am married and have been happily married for three years now. We love each other and know that family really is where are priorities lie. We love watching sporting events together and as a family. I played soccer and waterpolo in high school and wish I was still playing but it's amazing how out of shape you can get from having kids. I love music. I play piano -classical, jazz and modern and I also play the french horn. I don't play either very well but it is my source of therapy on those hard to deal with days.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was born and raised in the church. That's what my answer would have been as a teenager or younger. My answer today is I'm a Mormon because I have loving parents who patiently shared their love of this church and it's gospel with me. They helped me understand as a young child that God is always there and loves us. I did everything from attend primary, seminary, church dances and all other really great activities the church offers to help the youth begin to build their own testimonies and recognize God and the Holy Ghost's presence in our lives. It was in those patient years while I was attending BYU-Idaho that I was once asked the question, "How much do you love your Heavenly Father?" I think this was the first time I really thought of my Heavenly Father's love for me. I had a for sure testimony of the Savior and his love and atonement for me but I had never really sat down and pondered my Heavenly Father's love for me or my love for him. I had an overwhelming confirmation of the spirit that all the love in my heart I had for my Heavenly Father was nothing in comparison to the love he had for me. It was almost as if I could feel his arms wrap around me and at that moment I decided I would do everything I could to show my love to my Heavenly Father in this life. I have noticed that as I serve others and really strive to love others (If ye love me, keep my commandments - John 14:15) a true and sincere love develops for everyone in every aspect of my life. I decided then at the age of 21 that I wanted to be the best I could be and make the best choices I could so that one day I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father and physically receive that loving hug that my spirit felt so strongly. I have received many spiritual confirmations that as I strive to live the gospel and follow Christ and the example he set here on the earth I will be able to live with my Heavenly Father and Savior again. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

With in the Church I have a wonderful opportunity to teach the youth how are High School age. I am an early morning seminary teaching. Meaning, as a class we meet together every morning before school and study the scriptures and learn of the stories and principles that have been provided to us through our ancient prophets. This year we are studying the Old Testament and it has been a real treat to go through the Old Testament and be able to see how the words of ancient prophets are still applicable in our lives today. I have learned so much from my students, from their dedication to get up in the mornings and to hear of the testimonies they have of the gospel, God and his prophets even though they are at a young age. It isn't the easiest thing to do, to be 6 1/2 months and get up at 5 in the morning 5 days a week but I know I have been physically and spiritually strengthened with the help of a loving Heavenly Father who knows of my needs. ( ...With God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26)
