Hi I'm Chris

I was born and raised in the Southern U. S. My family trekked across the U.S. in a moving van (not a hand cart). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Father of four, two girls and two boys. I like moving around and have enjoyed working for a company that has allowed me to do this. I have met a lot of wonderful people that have helped to strengthen my testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because, I have read the Book of Mormon and have felt the Spirit testify to the truthfulness of the gospel. I grew up in the South and most of my school years I was the only Mormon in my class. Growing up a southerner in the 70's was not easy. As a kid I did not have a strong testimony of the gospel. I didn't do the things I should have done to gain a testimony and often times failed to choose the right. I know my Heavenly Father loves me because, despite all of the bad decisions that I have made in this earthly experience, he has always thrown me a life preserver and steered me back on track. I am thankful for the life preservers that I have received, my wife Ilona, my parents, and the many wonderful people in the church that have helped and believed in me along the way. I am thankful for Jesus Christ and the Atonement, the opportunity that God has given me to repent of my sins. I am thankful for the scriptures and the ability that Heavenly Father has given me to receive personal revelation for me and my family. I am thankful for my family and the knowledge that we will be together forever. I'm a Mormon because this is the true church and I couldn't imagine life any other way.

How I live my faith

I enjoy going to church every Sunday. Church is a great place where I can gather with people, who share the same beliefs. My testimony is strengthened every Sunday as other members of the church share some of there struggles and triumphs with me. I have served as a ward missionary, a ward clerk, and have the opportunity quite regularly to teach. I enjoy teaching because, often times I learn more than the people that I am teaching. I try to read the scriptures and pray daily. This helps me to remember that I am a child of God. I love the opportunity that this church gives me to serve. It causes me to strive to do my best and become a better person.
