Hi I'm Matt

I ride a unicycle. I repair violins for a living. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for a few years now. We have two boys. I really enjoy being married. My career as a violin repairman started after I got home from my mission in Nebraska. I've had an interest in music since my early teen years. Metallica is my favorite band in the world. I also like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith. I've been repairing violins and the violin family for 12 years now. Meanwhile I completed a bachelor of science in Business Administration.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the church. That is how I got into it initially. Ever since moving out of my parents’ house I have been self-motivated to go myself. I am a Mormon for one reason: Answer to prayer. That is it. I know there is a God in heaven that hears and answers our prayers through the Holy Ghost. I know that God is our Father in heaven and that He sent the angel Moroni to bring the Book of Mormon to Joseph Smith. I know that anyone who will read the Book of Mormon cover to cover, and will get on their knees and pray about it, will know for themselves that it is a true book and that it testifies of the Lord Jesus Christ and that it will bring us closer to Him.

How I live my faith

Some people talk about how hard it must be to be a Mormon because of all the rules we abide by. I beg to differ. I don't go to the grocery store on Sunday; I fast for two meals once a month and read the scriptures with my kids in the evenings. Besides that I think my life feels pretty normal.
