Hi I'm Kim

I'm a student in graduate school in Washington. I love to read, dance, paint, and do anything outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the type of person that loves to get people together...which probably comes from being from a bigger family. I've been married for two and a half years and my husband is in the national guard. I love to play games, dance, and paint. My life hasn't been very easy. My mom passed away of lung cancer when I was fourteen, and I was robbed at work when I was 16 and shot once in my shoulder and once at the base of my head. The gunshot wound to my head took away the hearing in my right ear and almost my life. If I've learned anything in my life its that God does care about us, hear our prayers, and know our needs. I'm humbled by His hand in my life. I believe in miracles.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the spirit I have felt as Ive learned about and studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible. The first time I felt the spirit was at my baptism. It was a peaceful assurance at the very center of my being that I was on the right path. Since then I've felt that same assurance over and over again as I've prayed about different gospel topics. The answer was always the same, that this church IS true. Despite all odds and all the opposition in the world it is true. It is simply true and completely true. The Bible teaches that by the Spirit you may learn the truth of all things, and this is where my testimony began and where it has grown. The more I learn about this gospel the more I want to be all that the Savior would have me be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being active in this church, studying the scriptures, by doing my very best to keep the commandments of God. I live my faith by trying to serve and love God and those around me.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormons absolutely believe in equality of men and women. God created men and women with equal love and husband and wife are meant to be equal partners in marriage. In Corinthians it says "neither is the man without the woman, neither is the woman without the man, in the Lord." The gospel is very good about teaching the worth of souls both male and female. The women in the church I have known have been open and friendly. They are most often strong and smart women. They love their families, study the scriptures, and they understand current events and issues. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Jesus Christ is our savior and he is the only begotten son of God. He died for our sins, and through him we can repent and be forgiven of our sins. Jesus Christ was perfect in all that he said and did while on earth, and as followers of the savior, Mormons strive to follow him. Jesus Christ is the author, and head of this church just as he was of the church he established when he was on the earth. Show more Show less
