Hi I'm Jamie

It hasn't always been easy but I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with two beautiful children and an amazing husband. I have my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and I teach preschool from my home, I adore what I do. We are a typical family working hard and trying to get by. My husband and I love anything to do with the outdoors, hiking, quading, horse back riding and so on........

Why I am a Mormon

My life has been all about ups and downs. I never went to church until I was about 9 when I was baptized, and that was it for a long time. Other than my mom no one in my family is LDS, she is not active so it’s been hard. My mom was diagnosed with cancer when I was 10 years old and that is when life took a huge change. All of a sudden we went from having a huge house with fun toys to my mom becoming single, living in a tiny apartment, raising two children all while having cancer. This is when the church came into our lives. When no one else was there for our family, the church was. The members are what first got me involved with the church, they loved and took care of my like I was there own. From then on my faith began to grow and I REALLY relied on the lord for everything. I don’t know what I would do without the gospel in my life and knowing that I can ALWAYS turn to the lord. The one safe place in my life is the church, its steady and constant.

How I live my faith

I try hard to live my faith everyday. One thing that I have learned from this gospel is to do service as much as possible. I try to take dinners to pregnant moms, sick families, or someone that is just having a bad day. I also try to let people know that I love them unconditionally, no matter what. No one is perfect and everyone deserves the best. We go to church every Sunday to get that special boost to make it through another week. We also make sure we have family prayer every night together as a family, I want my children to grow up knowing we speak with the lord.
