Hi I'm Nate Kelsey

I am an Air National Guard Member here in Utah and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to read various books, play video games, and watch movies. I consider myself a self identified movie buff. Although it's been awhile I enjoy drawing from time to time. I like to write on occasion. I love to learn about anything that deals with technology and look forward to one day graduating with a degree in computer science. I am happily married to a beautiful and loving wife and enjoy spending time with her between our busy schedules.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born into this faith, I wouldn't necessarily say that I was born fully committed since birth. When I was high school I questioned my beliefs that were taught to me since birth and cultivated a desire to seek out answers to my own questions that dealt with the core beliefs of being a Latter Day Saint. I read and pondered the Book of Mormon, the keystone of our faith, and found answers through heartfelt prayer to my questions. Since that time I have served a mission for the church in Canada, sharing with others the joys and happiness that I 've enjoyed while being a member of this faith. I know that God lives, that He is my Heavenly Father. I know that He gave His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that we may return to live with Him some day. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, Redeemer, and Eternal Friend. I know that His Atonement is real and that I can be truly forgiven of my sins. I know that Joseph Smith is the Prophet that Christ called to restore His church and priesthood here upon the earth in these latter days and that he translated the Book of Mormon by the gift and power of God. I know these things are true because I sought these answers out through study and prayer just as God told us to in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Ask, Seek, and Knock.

How I live my faith

I help teach the 14-15 yr old young men in my local ward. At times I help with teaching the children in Primary. I live my life through my faith one day at a time for I feel that that is how any faith should be lived. God wants us to "endure to the end" and this is my interpretation of the phrase. Every day I am reminded of how much life is a blessing and that everything I have in my life, I have because of how I strive to live the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Nate Kelsey
The scriptures state that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and that He is no respecter of persons. Now if God called prophets like Noah and Moses in days of old, then according to the scripture's teachings, God would have prophets in our day as well. This is true because God follows the same patterns that He established in the beginning and that He loves us just as much as His children in days of old. He doesn't hold either one above the other and wants us all to know what He would want us, His children, to do that would be beneficial to our happiness and life. He tells us these things through His prophets. Show more Show less
