Hi I'm Nicole

I grew up in Arizona. I attended Jewish school, Catholic school, and Methodist school. I love to write and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name's Nicole. I'm married to a wonderful man, finishing up my senior year of college, and beginning my career as a writer. A lot of the time I question my writing skills especially as I look at the many talented writers around me. However, I'm starting to figure out my voice! It's pretty nice. No more guessing or attempting to figure out what style to follow. I've realized that the writer I want to be emulates the person I am becoming. A strong daughter of Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home; however, growing up, I really didn't have any LDS friends. My friends were mostly Catholics, Agnostics, and Hindu. With many perspectives and beliefs surrounding me, towards the end of my senior year of high school, I needed to find my own testimony of Jesus Christ without depending on my parents. I had a mormon religious teacher who once was asked how he keeps his strong testimony in the midst of academia. I will never forget what he said. Truth is truth, no matter what. It will never fail. Something may seem puzzling at times, but if it is true, it will stand firm against any road block. As I've studied, prayed, and asked my Heavenly Father for guidance I have come to know the Gospel is true. Jesus Christ is my Savior and I want Heavenly Father to be proud of me. For the most part, the Gospel of Jesus Christ just makes sense to me. It makes sense that there are temples, just like in ancient times, that families are united beyond the grave, and that there is a Prophet on the earth today. I would love to talk with you if you have any questions!

How I live my faith

This is a great question. It's a lot easier said then done. First, and foremost I strive at being a loving and supportive wife. I read my scriptures and attempt to implement Family Home Evening on a regular basis. I am learning the blessing and opportunities which come with fulfilling your visiting teaching. Further, I've realized the power of prayer and going to Heavenly Father at the beginning of each day. I love people and I want to be continually recognizing my ability as a light to others... Even if it means having a short conversation with a person in the elevator.
