Hi I'm Kaity

I'm a small town girl with BIG dreams, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Idaho, USA. I am currently in my final year of college studying horticulture with minors in culinary arts and literature. I love music, art, reading, and the outdoors. I have also been fortunate in my life to have been allowed to travel and learn about different peoples and cultures, and I am excited to announce that I will be serving as a full time missionary in the Iloilo Philippines Mission starting in 2013! Music has been a profound part of my life. Currently I play the ukulele, piano, and a little guitar. I have also been highly involved in choirs over the years, and I am an alto in a service choir here at college. Every Sunday we perform a musical fireside based on Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for us. Not only does it encourage me to be better, but it offers hope and strength to those in the audience. I first heard this choir preform when I was at a low point and I knew I needed the strength and spirit that it offered. Every member of the choir has felt of God's everlasting love and we all hope to offer that those who hear us sing.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Latter-day Saint home, but that isn't the reason I'm a member. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know for myself that it is true. I have felt the love of God in my life countless times. When I struggle, God supports and protects me. By myself I am weak, but when I do as God directs he blesses me with the power to overcome my trials and temptations. This gospel is one of love and service as well. I can also feel God's love for others, members of the church of otherwise, as I serve them. I know God loves all of His children. He loves YOU! All of us can return to live with God, and we can become like him as we listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and make sacred covenants with him. I live it, and I love it!

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings every Sunday and participate in other activities and meetings during the week. I have also been asked to index past records to prepare names for temple ordinances. As mentioned above I also plan on serving a mission for the church in the Philippines! I know that my mission experience will be one of the most difficult but also one of the most rewarding times in my life. Everyday I strive to be worthy as a disciple of Jesus Christ. My faith and my religion are everything to me. Because of this gospel my life has a meaning and direction. I know that I am a daughter of God and that I can become like Him. One of my main goals in life is to serve God to the best of my ability.
