Hi I'm Lucy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Navy wife and a mother to a beautiful baby boy. My little family is my life. I married my high school sweetheart who is also my best friend. Our son is an ACTIVE eleven month old who recently figured out how to walk. I consider myself one of the luckiest people in the world because I get to spend the majority of my day playing, laughing, and dancing with him. Everyday is an adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I have developed and continue to develop personal relationships with my Heavenly Father and my savior Jesus Christ. I know they love me and care about me individually. I have felt their influence again and again in my life, leading me along. The Church has helped teach me who my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are. It has helped me gain a testimony of them for myself. That's the point of it all; I really know for myself that God and His son live. Jesus Christ came to this earth to atone for our sins and die for us. We are saved through Him. Because of this knowledge, I know who I am, why I am here, and what happens after I die. The gospel is everything.

How I live my faith

Every day is about becoming better than I was the day before. It's about striving to follow and gain the attributes of Jesus Christ. Everyday I fall short, but I'm a work in progress. I pray everyday, whether its formally on my knees or randomly throughout the day in my heart and mind. Prayer gives me the opportunity to communicate with God, and I definitely am always in need of His help. I also try to read from the Bible or the Book of Mormon daily. This helps me to keep the big picture in mind and focus on what's most important, like my family or reaching out to those in need.
