Hi I'm Benita

I'm an executive assistant. I love country music and sipping on diet coke. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 6 girls. I have my bachelors degree in political science and I love learning about history. I love to go on road trips as often as I can. My family and friends mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it gives me hope. I was raised a Mormon and leaned on testimonies of others around me until I gained my own and realized I believe in my Savior Jesus Chris. The knowledge that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me has given me purpose and helped me know that he knows who I am and the things I am going through. My parents split up when I was 10 years old and I was raised by my dad. There were too many confirmations around me that I had a loving Heavenly Father who was aware of my circumstances and looking out for my family to have doubt in my belief of the gospel. I feel blessed to know that trials are given to us to make us stronger and build our character and we get to choose how we will respond to them. Our Savior wants us to come unto him, and through him we can find peace.

How I live my faith

I have recently moved to a new city. I haven't yet received a calling in my new ward, but I am anxious to serve. I love holding a calling in the church because it gives me an opportunity to serve those around me and get involved with and make friends with the people in the ward. I have already received my Visiting Teaching partner and girls to visit. The first couple of weeks living in my new place they contacted me to let me know they were my visiting teachers, which was very welcoming and helps me appreciate that the church is the same no matter where you live. There are always people ready to make you feel at home.
