Hi I'm Dan

I work for a small software company. In off hours I referee football and lacrosse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved around a lot when I small because my Dad was in the Air Force. I went to BYU for college and studied engineering/design. It was there I met wife. I am the father of 3 awesome kids, one boy and two girls. All three have been married in the LDS temple. I have one granddaughter. I enjoy refereeing lacrosse and football. It is great being on the field so close to the action. Sometimes it can be stressful, but most of time it is fun. Plus I make little extra money.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel privileged to have been born into the church and raised by parents who always tried to teach me to choose the right. Since I was very young I have always felt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. Through the years I have only had positive experiences that have strengthened that feeling more. First of all I know that Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father love me and care about what happens to me. I feel the Holy Spirit guiding me through all facets of my life. I know that by keeping the commands and following the counsel that have been taught to us in the scriptures and by our current leaders I can have joy in my life. I have the hope to be able to return back to my Heavenly Father and Jesus after this life and experience the fullness of Joy. Next I am grateful that I have been married in the temple. I love my wife so much and am so glad for the doctrine of an eternal marriage. I know that our marriage will extend into the next life and we can continue being married for ever. To be able to have our children with us there also will bring a fullness of joy. Next I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book of scripture. The Book of Mormon is a 2nd testimony of the life and resurrection and atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ along with the Bible. Both volumes of Scripture provides teachings that we should follow to live a better life now and to live with Jesus and in the next life.

How I live my faith

I am happy to be busy working in the Church and to support the growth and stability of the church in my area. One really great thing that the church provides is that each family can be visited in their home once a month. This program is called home teaching. I have the responsibility in the church to organize the home teaching in my area. As people move into and out of the area it keeps me busy to make the assignments for people to be seen. It is a great to see how this program blesses lives and helps people feel welcome and wanted.
