Hi I'm Mark

I'm half Navajo/half Irish; a graduate of Arizona State; a fan of college & professional football and baseball; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm half Navajo/half Irish. I grew up on the Navajo Reservation until I went to school at Arizona State where I graduated with a degree in General Business. I've been married for 20 years and have three beautiful kids from 14 yeasrs old to 19 months old. I enjoy spending time with my kids, especially playing cars and star wars with my baby. I've been working in the area of Indian Tax Law for the last 14 years for two different tribes. I enjoy this work as I see it as a way to improve the lives of Native people with skills that I have been blessed with. I enjoy working with wood by building shelves, book cases, and end tables. I enjoy reading books that then fill the shelves that I just made. I enjoy watching movies, especially science fiction movies and I'm a collector of comic books and baseball cards. I enjoy playing sports but now really enjoy watching sports and following my favorite sports teams.

Why I am a Mormon

I found the LDS church at a time in my life when I was searching for something more. before i converted, i had been returning to the catholic services and started to feel the spirit. a very special spirit. that feeling grew as i was introducted to the missionaries and started to read the Book of Mormom. As i learned more about the church, I felt there was truthfulness to the gospel standards being taught. Its incredible to think that the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith ring even truer today than when the Prophet proclaimed the gospel doctrine. i've been a member of the church for the last 20 years. my testimony has grown as i have attended church services, done service for others, and fulfilled church callings. this church is not about waiting for others to help you but for you to help others. i strive to do my best and live the gosple standards and have been blessed by heavenly father with a wonderful family and three beautiful kids.

How I live my faith

Being a convert to the Church, I've had to learned a great deal about the church in a short time. i have learned the most about the church, about the gospel by fulfilling callings extended to me. i only declined one calling, thinking that i was not ready for it but quickly learned that the calling was not extended to me by the bishop but by Heavenly Father. and Heavenly Father would not do anything that i would not be able to accomplish. and found that Heavenly Father helped me fulfill the callings extended to me. i've also found that baring my testimony helps others. i've learned from others testimony and know that i am able to bless others when i share my life experiences that have built my testimony. but i espeically like to bare my testimony for my childrens sake. my example will bless their lives and help them feel comfortible in shairng their testimony.
