Hi I'm Alisha

I grew up in Idaho, USA. I am the mother of four young children. Life hasn't always been easy but I know who I am. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of four beautiful children. I haven't always been able to say that I enjoy them but I can now. I love to be with them and learn from them and am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent each unique and wonderful child to our family. I have been a stay at home mom since just before my first daughter was born 8 1/2 years ago. My hobbies have changed since I became a mother. I don't have the time to do what I used to but I will always enjoy hiking, and camping and spending time in the mountains. I still enjoy a good book or a good movie. I have found over the last few years that I LOVE to decorate cakes. I'm no professional by any means and I still have so much to learn but I really enjoy it. One thing that hasn't changed is my need to spend time with friends. Nothing can replace a good friend and I'm grateful that Heavenly Father has surrounded me with good friends that lift me up.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. I was taught the gospel from the time I was little. I have been blessed with the gift of faith but it wasn't until I went on a mission to Barcelona, Spain, that I started to ask for myself if what I had learned my whole life was true. My mission was life changing, but truthfully the trials that I have had to pass through since my mission are what makes my faith strong. This church has lifted me up and supported me. But more than that the doctrine makes sense. I have prayed and received answers many times and I KNOW that although there are many good churches that teach good things, there is only one church that has ALL the truth. I have born my testimony on this to others and have felt the power that comes from knowing that. This church is the true church of the living God, and ANYONE can learn this by asking the Lord Himself. How blessed we are to be able to receive answers for ourselves instead of relying on the word of others.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. It is a part of everything I do. My life has not been easy but the Lord has always been there for me. My husband has been dealing with severe depression for more than half of our marriage and other health problems for the the rest of the time. It has been so hard and there have been many times that I was close to despair but Father has always pulled me through and I feel that, although I would never want to repeat what I've been through, I am grateful for the trials that I've had, and the changes I have made in myself because of them. I would be such a different person if I didn't have those trials to mold me. I know my Father in Heaven. I know He loves me and is always there for me and that knowledge is more valuable than anything I possess in this life.
