Hi I'm Matt

I grew up farming and ranching in Idaho and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Idaho most of my live and love our outdoor lifestyle. I love camping, whitewater rafting, and winter sports and usually have family with me when we are out and about. I grew up farming and ranching but have made my living in the auto aftermarket business for many years. I enjoy people. I love my children and wife. Being a Grandpa fills me with joy!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and was raised attending church and participating in our Mormon lifestyle but that is not why I am a Mormon. I feel God has blessed me with many abilities of which I am very grateful. I suppose I could go through life fighting my own battles and raising my family the best i can but I learned early in adult life that relying on God makes all the trials of life easier. I have a strong faith that God knows me and loves me and he knows and loves you too. My Mormon faith lets me know many things about his plan for me. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Christ said "this new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you......by this shall men know that ye are my disciples". I confess to not being very good at this but I am trying. I serve my community through volunteering. I have coached many youth teams and have enjoyed my time with the young players and thier families. In fact I get to watch some of the youth I have coached play football and baseball for thier college teams now! I love serving in my congregation in various volunteer positions and enjoy watching others find the same joy I have found through my walk with Christ. I like working with the youth in the Boy Scouts of America and enjoy watching them grow from rowdy boys into very productive adults. My wife and I have attempted to raise good children that are useful to those around them.
