Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a stay-at-home mom to a little boy and wife to an amazing man. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I got my bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Coaching at Brigham Young University. I got married halfway through school and have been married for 6 years. My husband and I have one little boy and have another boy due in 6 weeks. I love to blog. I make blog books that I use as my journal/photo albums. I also love to play almost any sport, watch college football and professional basketball, play piano, listen to music, watch movies, and socialize with friends and family. I love to plan parties and get-togethers! I also love to read and make jewelry.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and I was born and raised a member of the church. Through the years, I have really gained my own personal testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and of His gospel. I have felt the Holy Ghost bear witness to me that this is His true church. As I have striven to live righteously and follow Heavenly Father's commandments, I have felt that they are truly from God. As I have read the Book of Mormon over and over again, I have had such a burning in my heart that I cannot deny that it is true. If you read the Book of Mormon with a sincere intent to know if it is true and then pray and ask, you can know for yourself that it is true through the Holy Ghost. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he translated the Book of Mormon and restored the Gospel to the earth through Heavenly Father's guidance. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for our sins and died so that we can repent and live again in exaltation. I know that He lives. The wonderful thing about the Gospel is that you don't have to take anyone's word for it that these things are true. You can know for yourself. All you have to do is ask Heavenly Father through prayer and faith. I have done this myself, and I can bear witness that what I have said is true. Being a member of this church has brought me so much happiness and peace and a greater ability to bear my trials. It has helped me as I have worked to become a better person. But don't take my word for it; find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve the youth (specifically the young women ages 12-18) in our ward as the Young Women President. The youth of the world have so much potential, and it's such a privilege for me to help teach and guide them. I learn so much from them. They have a program called Personal Progress that helps them set spiritual goals. I am working on completing this program again myself and can't even describe the blessings I have received from working on these goals in my personal life. Another way that I live my faith is through the visiting teaching program. I have gained friends and sisters, become a better friend, learned more about the pure love of Christ, and become a more humble person through visiting the women I am assigned to bring a message to each month. I have discovered that as I give Heavenly Father my time and priorities, I am better at organizing and prioritizing my life. I get more done, and I am happier.
