Hi I'm Randi

I grew up in California. I love to read, sing, and shop. I also have 2 great kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi there! I'm 29-years-old and a stay-at-home mom. I have 2 kids, one girl, and one boy. I married my best friend 5 years ago and we're so happy! We used to live in Alaska and just recently moved in the past year to Arizona. It's a big change, to say the least. I grew up in California, though, so I'm glad to see the sunshine again. I love to read pretty much all the time. I love singing and do it all the time with kids. I also love baking. That's mainly because I love eating! My husband and I also love making music together because we both play the guitar. We love music and one of the things we were most exciting about when moving to Arizona was the opportunity to go to more concerts and shows. Lastly, I LOVE swimming. I played some water polo in high school and college and I totally want my kids to love it as well. My daughter loved swimming lessons, so I think we're on our way! My husband and I are both in school; he to get his masters and me to finish up my bachelors. So, between both of us in school, him working full-time, and having two kids, we stay pretty busy. But we are so happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes my life so happy. I know that the Lord is constantly working in our lives to help us be successful and happy. I know that my husband, kids, and I will be together for eternity. I have had some really hard struggles in my life and being a Mormon has definitely been the only thing to get me through. My faith has sustained me. I served a mission for our church from 2003-2005 in Africa. Part of the reason I live my faith everyday is because I have seen how it can change people's lives. It can change people's hearts and bring them a joy that they've never known. And that is what it does for me everyday. It gives me strength to get by because I have joy and hope that my Savior and Heavenly Father love me and want to see me again.

How I live my faith

I help with a program in our church where each female member visits other assigned female members to build friendship and trust and to share our faith. It is so wonderful to see how we are all connected! I don't drink alcohol or coffee. I know it's important to keep our bodies healthy and clean. This has been a blessing as I have carried two babies. I am active in my community because I know how important community is to our lives. Getting involved gives us the opportunity to have a say in how we live! Everyday I read from holy scriptures and teach my kids about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's not just a religion, it's how we live our lives.

What is being a Mormon like?

Randi
Being a Mormon is great. Sometimes it's hard because we are definitely a minority, but I know this church is true, so I try to stand up for what I believe in even when it's hard. It's wonderful to have a faith that emphasizes the family and the importance of those relationships. I love being Mormon. Show more Show less
