Hi I'm Lane Larson

I'm from Wenatchee and currently live here with my wife Jannica. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a pretty normal guy. I enjoy playing sports, especially basketball. I am a bit of a sports fanatic, I like to watch football and follow my teams closely. I enjoy being with my family and living close to them. I went to college and got a degree in Business Finance, and now work for a restoration company that specializes in water damage. I lived in China teaching English for a few months before graduating college and grew to love and appreciate our country. I love watching movies and just hanging out at home with my wife and family. I have been married for 3+ years, no kids yet but plan on having them someday.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that was Mormon, we went to church and did all of that my whole life. But today I am a Mormon basically because I read the Book of Mormon, prayed and asked God if it's true, and felt something that can't be expressed in words and I know it's true. There are a lot of things I don't do perfect, and that is what is so great about the Church of Jesus Christ. Because of Christ I know I can be forgiven of things I have done wrong and that is the best feeling in the world. I know the Bible is true, and I know the Book of Mormon is true and they both teach people about Christ and how to become more like him.

How I live my faith

I am in the Elder's Quorum presidency in my local ward. The Elder's Quorum is the group of men ranging from 18-40's who meet for an hour each week during our normal Sunday meetings. We have weekly lessons that help us to be better husbands, fathers, and overall better men and discuss challenges we all have and ways to overcome them. We also regularly visit members of our church and bring a spiritual message to share with them in their homes. We plan and organize community service projects, and activities for all of us to be involved with. As a member of the presidency of this group, we meet and discuss ways to help people who may be in need, or set up times to visit people in our church. We also try to plan and do fun with our families outside of church, things like rafting trips, dinners, hiking, bbq's, and anything else people want to do.
