Hi I'm Kristen

I'm a college student, wife, and daycare worker. I am busy and active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for a year and a half and love having a partner to turn to in times of happiness and hardship. I am a college student and will soon be graduating with my bachelor's degree. I enjoy reading, exercising, singing, and playing the piano, along with watching some of my favorite TV shows. I love being with family and creating lasting memories. I stay busy with work and school and home, and it's always a process to balance everything in life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up going to the meetings and different activities put on by this church, and through these meetings and lessons that I witnessed, my love for the church and Christ's gospel have grown. As I became a teenager and thought more about the principles taught in church, I prayed about whether the Book of Mormon and the church were true, and I received my answers through small and simple ways. I came to know for myself that the church is true, that Joseph Smith was a true prophet that lived on this earth and helped restore Christ's church onto this earth once again, and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, that communicates with God, and that he then tells us what we need to focus on to stay protected from the temptations Satan puts before us. I continue to live my faith because of that sure witness that I know the principles of this gospel are true, and also because this church shows us the only way to live with my family forever. I know that as I make an effort to ask forgiveness from the Lord for my sins and as I try to make the right choices and serve others, I can live with my family into the eternities. This is especially significant to me because my father passed away when I was 15, and I know that I will see him again, and also that when I have children, I will be able to live with them and my husband forever. Christ provided a way for each of us to repent and to live forever, free from the chains of sin, through His dying for us and atoning for our sins. I know this to be true.

How I live my faith

Through this church, I have come to serve others more often, and I enjoy doing so. On Sundays while parents are attending gospel classes, I help to care for and watch their 18 month old to 3 year old children. I enjoy giving lessons to these children and helping to provide a safe and fun place for them to come to on Sundays. Also, I visit sisters at their homes that attend my church, and I help to serve them and see if they need anything else to help lift them spiritually, physically, or emotionally. I love being someone that others can depend on within the community or within the church, and I love serving others. This is how I live my faith and strive to become more like Christ, our ultimate example.
